Traits
Ear Eyes (Rare)
This trait turns a scarfoxes inner ear, including the ear stud, into a functioning set of eyes! these eyes do not close nor blink, and can take up the entire area of the inner ear (example: Scarfox-1668 ), or just the area the ear stud inhabited (example: Scarfox-2005 ).
Eyes can be of any type, including animal eyes without VR animalia, but must appear as eyes and not be confused with other traits of the species. pupil shapes are not traited and can be anything one imagines, including multiple pupils in a single eye.
why is this trait rare? this trait was established at the start of the species existence, and thusly will not be changing rarity
This trait is combinable with other traits, such as:
- VR shape extensions- give eyelash shapes, ridges or edges to the ear eyes for additional flare and focus in your design!
- VR winged ears- folded closed none may see, but opened up can give a design a dramatic look!
- R floppy ears- same vibe as winged ears!
- R extra long floppy- mixed with H clustered eyes to give multiple ear eyes down the inner ear, can give a skin crawling feeling to an otherwise cute idea!
- other traits available to the species! if you're unsure if your combination wouldnt work, please contact a myo moderator on site or in our discord qna!
This trait CANNOT:
- exceed beyond the inner ear area
- be detatched from the inner ears placement (would be better off with M multiple eyes!)
- be mistaken for another trait by myo staffing
If you have any questions or concerns about this trait or possible combinations, please contact Darci or Benaberrry for further help!
This information may be updated in the future to better explain and structure this information for the benefit of the staffing and community.
Floppy (Rare)
This trait turns your standard ear type into a folded set of forward or sideways flopping ears! ears can either be puppy dog flopped (example: Scarfox-231 ), one flopped one standing upright or semi upright (example: Scarfox-1395 ) flopped at where the ears attach to the head, or flopped to hide in plain sight with hair (a side reference for the ears upright and showing may be requested by the myo staff team for masterlist purposes)
Floppy ears can have differing lengths to the ear, differing amounts of folds to the ear and severity of their folds, differing thicknesses to the ears, and differing sizes so long as they are not mistaken for another trait by a myo staff member!
why is this trait rare? this trait was established at the start of the species existence, and thusly will not be changing rarity
This trait is combinable with other traits, such as:
- UC lynx ears/R ear extensions- to give extra fluffy length to your foxes floppy ears!
- UC tuffs- to give a dense fluffy overflow of softness to the inner ear! could mimic an earmuff vibe for those cozy designs!
- H holes and tears- allows the runes and or wisps to hide within the body temporarily, can give a creepy vibe from the inside of a fox!
- other traits available to the species! if you're unsure if your combination wouldnt work, please contact a myo moderator on site or in our discord qna!
This trait CANNOT:
- be so long, or flop backwards that it mimics extra long floppy
- be so short its mistaken for smoosh ears without said trait added on
- be without any form of flop or fold to the ear itself
- be mistaken for another trait by myo staffing
If you have any questions or concerns about this trait or possible combinations, please contact Darci or Benaberrry for further help!
This information may be updated in the future to better explain and structure this information for the benefit of the staffing and community.
Shape Extension (Rare)
This trait allows a scarfox 2d extensions from the ears at any location along them! These extensions do not have a length limit, but myo staffing may reject it if its outside of a within reason range.
Shape extensions can created decorative boarders around a foxes ear to bring flare and focus, or to blend a designs theme together! This trait can either look separate from the base ear, or blend into it to help smooth transition the ears down into the head.
These flat 2d extensions can be curled into tight spring like forms if long enough, so long as the main piece reads as 2D, but this is subject to MYO staffing remarks on how its drawn! These shapes dont have much of a shape limit, just as long as they're not mimicking another trait.
why is this trait rare? this trait was established at the start of the species existence, and thusly will not be changing rarity
This trait is combinable with other traits, such as:
- VR complex studs- extra stud pieces outside of the center stud can use this surface area so long as its apart of the flat front of a foxes ear!
- VR winged ears- emphasize those wings with 2d decorative extensions! maybe they act as long drooping decorative addons that bring the theme of your design up into the head area!
- other tail traits available to the species! if you're unsure if your combination wouldnt work, please contact a myo moderator on site or in our discord qna!
This trait CANNOT:
- be mistaken for another trait by myo staffing
- be made into a 3D form
- affect a scarfoxes standard ear stud (VR complex studs is ok tho, see above for how to incorporate it!)
If you have any questions or concerns about this trait or possible combinations, please contact Darci or Benaberrry for further help!
This information may be updated in the future to better explain and structure this information for the benefit of the staffing and community.
Pom Pom (Rare)
This trait allows a scarfox a tail so short it forms a literal pom pom! A general rule of thumb for pom pom is a circular or ovular shape that keeps a consistent density if used alone! these tails usually have some form of dense fluff to them, and can vary in fluff density depending on the artists style, as well as different sizes of pom pom.
Below are a few examples of pom pom tails
A pom pom tail alone should always remain shorter than an UC short tail, if you're unsure if your tail qualifies as R pom pom or UC short tail, please message the myo questions channel in our discord for a check!
why is this trait rare? this trait was established at the start of the species existence, and thusly will not be changing rarity
This trait is combinable with other traits, such as:
- UC animal tail- to give a shorter than average tail, for bird tails, feline and canine tails, and nubby lil dino tails!
- VR mystical tail- tiny ball of mystical magic? maybe a magic 8 ball tail?
- other traits available to the species! if you're unsure if your combination wouldnt work, please contact a myo moderator on site or in our discord qna!
This trait CANNOT:
- be mistaken for another trait by myo staffing
If you have any questions or concerns about this trait or possible combinations, please contact Darci or Benaberrry for further help!
This information may be updated in the future to better explain and structure this information for the benefit of the staffing and community.
Long Tail (Rare)
This trait allows a scarfox a tail so long it exceeds the bodys length and beyond! Long tail can apply with a variety of tail types and take the center stage in your design! This trait can be used to make excessively long tails, but it is best within reason to the scarfox's body for masterlist images.
If you choose to make a tail so long it cannot be contained within the masterlist image, we request you coil the tail up in some form of fashion behind and or around the body so it fits for the watermark to affect it, and to still show the main body of the fox as clearly as possible. An image showing the tails true length is best on a separate reference image for yourself!
why is this trait rare? this trait was established at the start of the species existence, and thusly will not be changing rarity
This trait is combinable with other traits, such as:
- UC animal tail- long slinky cat tails, elongated snake or dinosaur tails, long prehensile monkey tails, R long tail works great with this trait!
- VR mystical tail- going for that dragon tail? want an enormous plant vining tail? a tail made of stardust that comet streaks off into infinity? then this combo may be for you!
- most other tail traits available to the species! if you're unsure if your combination wouldnt work, please contact a myo moderator on site or in our discord qna!
This trait CANNOT:
- be mistaken for another trait by myo staffing
- be mixed with R pom pom, UC short tail, or H missing tail as these have set determined lengths, and ones just missing outright.
- be shorter than the total height of your scarfox (this goes from ear tips to a scarfoxes ankles, a general guide can be found here )
If you have any questions or concerns about this trait or possible combinations, please contact Darci or Benaberrry for further help!
This information may be updated in the future to better explain and structure this information for the benefit of the staffing and community.
Insecta tail (Rare)
This trait allows a scarfox a tail of any insect origin thats exists on earth. Insecta tails cannot exceed standard lengths without an extra trait (so if a member would like a very long centipede tail, R long tail will also need to be applied). Prehistoric era insects are best under VR mystical tail
why is this trait rare? this trait was established at the start of the species existence, and thusly will not be changing rarity
This trait is combinable with other traits, such as:
- any length altering tail trait (UC short tail, R long tail, R pom pom)
- any form of multiple tail traits (R 2-3 tails, VR 5-6 tails, H 4 tails, and M 7-9 tails)
- most other tail traits available to the species! if you're unsure if your combination wouldnt work, please contact a myo moderator on site or in our discord qna!
This trait CANNOT:
- be mistaken for another trait by myo staffing
- utilize any other part of the insect unless specifically apart of the tail, this is best under VR mystical tail and discussed with staffing
- have wings of any type on it without VR wings added on
- function as the actual tail (such as a scorpion tail cannot deliver venom) without the addition of VR animalia
- utilize fantasy insects, VR mystical tail is best for that!
- bypass length traits without having them in use
If you have any questions or concerns about this trait or possible combinations, please contact Darci or Benaberrry for further help!
This information may be updated in the future to better explain and structure this information for the benefit of the staffing and community.
2-3 Tails (Rare)
This trait allows a scarfox an additional 1-2 tails for a total of 2-3 tails! All tails need to mirror the traits they have applied, so if one tail uses R insecta, all tails need insecta of the same insect type, but can have different colors patterns etc per tail. Floating limbs requires the set of tails to be floating as well, and so on.
why is this trait rare? this trait was established at the start of the species existence, and thusly will not be changing rarity
This trait is combinable with other traits, such as:
- any other tail traits available to the species except for H missing tail! if you're unsure if your combination wouldnt work, please contact a myo moderator on site or in our discord qna!
This trait CANNOT:
- be mistaken for another trait by myo staffing
- be mixed with H missing tail as these have set determined lengths, and ones just missing outright.
- break the tail length guidelines (a general guide can be found here )
If you have any questions or concerns about this trait or possible combinations, please contact Darci or Benaberrry for further help!
This information may be updated in the future to better explain and structure this information for the benefit of the staffing and community.
Paws + Claws (Rare)
This trait allows the palm and finger area of a fox to have a soft or firm defined padding on the underside of their hands! Paw pads can look like any species, real extinct or fantasy, and can be any shape or coverage on the palm and finger area, but must be defined in some way to show depth, or it may be mistaken as a marking by myo staffing when submitted!
Foxes may also have the option of a set of claws on each hand, claws must have a clear separation with either linework or color choice from the tip of the finger and the claw. Claws have a within reason length guideline, and cannot be clustered on a single finger (you would be best using UC spikes). If you wish for a claw to look like its melded/apart of the finger, you would be best with VR irregular shapes!
why is this trait rare? this trait was established at the start of the species existence, and thusly will not be changing rarity
This trait is combinable with other traits, such as:
- VR floating limbs- detatch your foxes fingers and utilize them as free range digits!
- VR animalia- have your claws retractable into your foxes fingers like cat claws! complete that look with animalia leggies! bird talons, cat paws, etc!
- M multiple limbs- a spare set of arms armed with claws never hurt anyone right?
- other traits available to the species! if you're unsure if your combination wouldnt work, please contact a myo moderator on site or in our discord qna!
This trait CANNOT:
- have the claws appear fused to the fingers or appear like theyre coming out of the fingers without the appropriate traits
- have the claws placed anywhere else on the arms except for the tips of the fingers
- have paw pads appear flat or flush to the arm as this may be mistaken for markings by myo staffing
- give the users fox paw pads on their feet as this is an arm trait, you would need VR animalia for that!
- be mistaken for another trait by myo staffing
If you have any questions or concerns about this trait or possible combinations, please contact Darci or Benaberrry for further help!
This information may be updated in the future to better explain and structure this information for the benefit of the staffing and community.
Tassels (Rare)
This trait allows the edges of a scarfoxes arm to be adorned in tassels! tassel types include standard bunches like graduation cap tassels, fringe tassels that go along the length of the arms, and long strand like tassels that are more spaced out and can resemble ribbons visually.
The tassels can be any length within reason, and has no color restrictions. Tassels may also appear with a metallic like sheen or a silky sheen, and can be bunched in sections or cover the edge of the arm like a curtain! Either or side may be covered minimally or completely. Members can also accessorize these tassels with bells, beads, and the likes to customize their shapes and sections!
why is this trait rare? this trait was established at the start of the species existence, and thusly will not be changing rarity
This trait is combinable with other traits, such as:
- UC piercings- tassels can be an extension of the piercings added on!
- VR irregular shapes- tassel lengths can take the form of other shapes, including star shapes at the end of the tassels to mimic dripping stars
- VR poncho- have this trim go around the body, possibly giving a royal carpet air with your poncho and choice of patterns!
Eye on arm (Rare)
This trait allows a scarfox to have a single eye along any part of its arms on either or side of varying sizing. Eyes do not have to be the same size on both arms, but must be visible in some way for masterlist artwork. Eyes can be of real extinct or fantasy origin, and can have any form of coloring, lack of pupils, galaxy eyes (like this owl), etc.
Pitch black eyes or eyes that may appear to mimic a missing eye or void eye must have some form of sheen to them for masterlist entries for identifying purposes, and to not me confused with other traits.
why is this trait rare? this trait was established at the start of the species existence, and thusly will not be changing rarity
This trait is combinable with other traits, such as:
- H holes and tears- to leave the eye suspenses by strands of fibers
- H missing eyes- can leave the eyes themselves empty, with the edges of the eyes intact to open into pure emptyness!
- H multiple eyes- expand on your amount of eyes with sprawling clusters over the arms and body if desired, and or combine them with the above!
- other traits available to the species! if you're unsure if your combination wouldnt work, please contact a myo moderator on site or in our discord qna!
This trait CANNOT:
- have the closed eyes become "seamless" to where a myo member cannot tell there is an eye there in the first place
- be mistaken for another trait by myo staffing
If you have any questions or concerns about this trait or possible combinations, please contact Darci or Benaberrry for further help!
This information may be updated in the future to better explain and structure this information for the benefit of the staffing and community.
Wisps + Runes (Rare)
This trait applies one or more floating wisps or rune like shaped objects around a foxes person. These runes and or wisps are not physically connected to the fox, but are controlled by the foxes will and imbued with their mist, making them a piece of their person. All runes and or wisps must look identical in physical form, however colors or each rune or writings on them and similar are open to anything that doesnt break out tos (such as no copyrighted material or brands, nothing offensive, etc). Runes and wisps can also be different sizes to one another! Their natural resting place is by a fox (example: Scarfox-1702 ), but can be stored inside if a fox is hollow with H holes and tears openings
Runes and wisps can be shaped to form weapons (example: Scarfox-042 ), shooting stars, rainbows, small insects (example: Scarfox-1879 ), and even a full animal companion made from the collective wisps (example: Scarfox-1121 ), or separate wisp like creatures (example: Scarfox-1992 ) these creatures do not contain a sentience to them and are not independant souls. They can also be formed into objects like surfboards for a fox to temporarily ride upon if desired, or made into repeating floating chunks of patterns for optional effects on your foxs look (such as: Scarfox-1846 ). While this trait is fairly open to interpretation, there are things that may not be permitted, so please check your myo's with myo staffing in the appropriate discord channel to get the ok!
The amount of runes and wisps a fox can have is within reason, same with the runes and wisps sizing. If you feel your idea is breaching on the within reason guidelines, please send a request for checking in our myo questions channel in our discord!
At this time this trait is an either or choice, but you can also mix them together (so one can have a rune that has an ethereal glow around it, or a wispy glow trailing around it, and similar ideas)! At this time the only way to obtain a completely different set of wisps and runes is U Corrupted wisps, a lore based trait! This trait cannot be changed around though from its main visual look.
Below is an example of another form of wisps and runes, where it can be a flat paper like entity and contain different prints and images on said pages!
why is this trait rare? this trait was established at the start of the species existence, and thusly will not be changing rarity
This trait is combinable with other traits, such as:
- VR functional item- could give a screen shaped rune the function of an actual touchscreen or tv, receiving transmissions from outer space!
- VR wings- can give the ability of flight or hovering to let the runes look more mystierous, powerful, and ethereal!
- give a fox the ability to fly, even if the runes are shaped like wings
- be fused to the scarfox's body
- have its physical form different between their runes or wisps
- be mistaken for another trait by myo staffing
If you have any questions or concerns about this trait or possible combinations, please contact Darci or Benaberrry for further help!
This information may be updated in the future to better explain and structure this information for the benefit of the staffing and community.
Glowing Markings (Rare)
This trait allows minimum one set of markings on a fox to glow! the intensity of the glow is up to the user, but cannot fully obscure the marking on a masterlist submission, as this may be mistaken as VR functional item lights on the body. A good example of glowing markings can be seen on Scarfox-2000
Glowing markings can also affect VR growth, a good example can be seen on Scarfox-1903
Glowing markings can also affect small areas on a fox, such as their ear studs, eyes, and on the lip line of H chompers, example: Scarfox-1727
This trait can also affect a foxes teeth, regardless of if they're UC coloured teeth or not!
please refer to below to gauge the strength of the glow trait thats permitted, staffing needs to be able to still see some form of the marking beneath the glowing.
why is this trait rare? this trait was established at the start of the species existence, and thusly will not be changing rarity
This trait is combinable with other traits, such as:
- H holes and tears- to have the edges of your chosen holes and tears glow for focus!
- VR poncho- to give an underside pattern more visual interest and depth! especially in the darker shadows they create
- VR animalia- a tiger theme with enigmatic striping,
- R scales- an ethereal shimmering visage to select scales or to make a pattern down the tail when glowing!
- R horns and or VR large horns- maybe those antlers or horns can light up a dark forest, paired with VR growth for bioluminescent mushrooms perhaps?
- R eyes on arms/ R ear eyes/ H eye clusters- when closed they can appear as thinner lines that glow, but open can be a striking view for another fox out of nowhere!
- R runes and wisps- helps them stand out in a more magical appearance, possibly full of power!
- UC coloured teeth- give those lovely chompers an eye catching pop! this can be on selective teeth, or the whole set of chompers!
- H Multiple Mouths- can optionally affect certain mouths of choice, but glow color of choice can differ alongside the glows intensity!
- other traits available to the species! if you're unsure if your combination wouldnt work, please contact a myo moderator on site or in our discord qna!
This trait CANNOT:
- be so bright it smothers out apart of a fox (such as their markings, teeth, eyes, or areas its applied to in general)
- be mistaken for another trait by myo staffing
If you have any questions or concerns about this trait or possible combinations, please contact Darci or Benaberrry for further help!
This information may be updated in the future to better explain and structure this information for the benefit of the staffing and community.
Scales (Rare)
This trait allows any part of a foxes body to gain the growth of any scale type! Scale types include snake, fish, dragon, and similar. The amount of scales and distribution of the scales is up to the artist, but must be visible in some form of way on the masterlist artwork for ease of recognition for myo staffing. sizing of the scales is up to the member, so long as its within reason. there are no color restrictions to this trait, and scales may retain a sheen to them!
This trait makes a great combo with VR animalia for those looking to create a dragon like fox, as it goes well with belly keeled scales (example: Scarfox-1053 )
Some foxes have more artistic liberty like scales, such as Scarfox-1846 where its defined on the waist and torso as diamond shaped scales, but blends with the pattern on the body
why is this trait rare? this trait was established at the start of the species existence, and thusly will not be changing rarity
This trait is combinable with other traits, such as:
- VR animalia- to create more fish like foxes, mermaid foxes, or dragon like foxes!
- VR mystical tail- same reason above!
- VR functional item- could utilize the scales shapes in combo with this trait to create a glittering like effect of holographic vibes!
- other traits available to the species! if you're unsure if your combination wouldnt work, please contact a myo moderator on site or in our discord qna!
This trait CANNOT:
- be so undefined that a staff member cannot tell if scales are on the design in the first place for your masterlist entry (makes it easier on them!)
- be mistaken for another trait by myo staffing
If you have any questions or concerns about this trait or possible combinations, please contact Darci or Benaberrry for further help!
This information may be updated in the future to better explain and structure this information for the benefit of the staffing and community.
Drool + Slime (Rare)
This trait allows a scarfox to have drool and or slime like fluids coming off their person across their body in varying amounts. This trait is for topical application, and cannot be coming from the inside of a fox, even with H holes and tears. This trait can however be coming from the mouth of a fox (along the teeth/lip line), or its eyes.
This trait can be used to make markings appear as if leaking/color bleeding off the character, or used to make galaxy patterns appear as if coming from the scarfox's body.
This trait can be any color, however if this trait is used innapropriately, it will result in your design being rejected and asked to be edited to redo the concern at hand.
why is this trait rare? this trait was established at the start of the species existence, and thusly will not be changing rarity
This trait is combinable with other traits, such as:
- H multiple eyes
- R glowing markings
- R ear extensions- to have something dripping off long drooping extensions that may come off the bottom of a foxes ear
- VR functional item- can give a dripping glue effect like this fox , and other dripping appliation ideas like leaking oils, toxic sludge, etc
- R runes and wisps- can give a cursed rune like effect
- most other tail traits available to the species! if you're unsure if your combination wouldnt work, please contact a myo moderator on site or in our discord qna!
This trait CANNOT:
- be mistaken for another trait by myo staffing
- mimic the subtype elemental cloak (water)
- be white or any form of off white due to nsfw concerns
If you have any questions or concerns about this trait or possible combinations, please contact Darci or Benaberrry for further help!
This information may be updated in the future to better explain and structure this information for the benefit of the staffing and community.
Small Horns (Rare)
This trait applies one or more sets of small horns to a foxes head! A small horn ranges from short to medium sizing (a good example of max sizing for small horns can be seen on Scarfox-1797 , as well as on Scarfox-1436 (more deer like horns)). A general rule of thumb for a small horns max height, is half the ear height of a standard ear. Amount of small horns is within reason, if you feel like you may be breaching that amount, please ask for a myo staff member to check in our myo qna section on our discord!
why is this trait rare? this trait was established at the start of the species existence, and thusly will not be changing rarity
This trait is combinable with other traits, such as:
- VR large horns- can give a layer of depth to the head area when using both traits!
- VR unihorn- complete the trio and make a beautiful crown of horns on your fox! (example: Scarfox-953 )
- R runes and wisps- create floating pieces around your foxes horns for a more mystical appearace!
- VR animalia- permits the shaping of deer horns, small dragon horns, etc!
- UC spikes- spread the small horn vibes around to the arms to create balance across your design!
- other traits available to the species! if you're unsure if your combination wouldnt work, please contact a myo moderator on site or in our discord qna!
This trait CANNOT:
- be so small that its unrecognizable as a horn and could be mistaken as a piercing
- be any bigger than around half to 2/3rds of a scarfoxes standard ear height
- be mistaken for another trait by myo staffing
If you have any questions or concerns about this trait or possible combinations, please contact Darci or Benaberrry for further help!
This information may be updated in the future to better explain and structure this information for the benefit of the staffing and community.
Underbite/Overbite (Rare)
This trait gives a fox a larger either upper or lower jawline, creating an underbite or overbite to the fox!
why is this trait rare? while it may seem like a minor alteration, underbites/overbites are seen as a form of defect, giving a creature problems trying to eat, chew, or speak! For this reason we decided it be rare
This trait is combinable with other head traits, such as:
- H Chompers
- R Vertical Mouth
- UC Fangs /Tusks
- other mouth traits available to the species! if you're unsure if your combination wouldnt work, please contact a myo moderator on site or in our discord qna!
This trait CANNOT:
- only underbite/overbite a small portion of a foxes mouth, it needs to show enough for it to count as the trait! otherwise its viewed as a stylistic choice
- be combined with VR closed mouth (as this mouth is sealed shut by biting over the lips and fusing a seal)
- this is (atm) specifically for underbites and overbites, other misalignments such as open bites and cross bites do not fall under this trait!
Example of this trait open and closed:
If you have any questions or concerns about this trait or possible combinations, please contact Darci or Benaberrry for further help!
