Traits
2D Ears (Unstable)
This trait essentially collapses a scarfoxes ear into a completely flat or near completely falt 2d plane! The stud of a foxes ear rests on top of the now flat surface, much like it was glued on there! Alone this trait is fairly simple in usage, the flat ear can be laid flat against the top of a foxes head either forward or backwards, giving the illusion of it missing ears for personal artwork, NOT masterlist entries. This is for ease of seeing the trait in use, and to not create a false appearance of missing both ears on a fox.
This ear trait cannot be creased in the center to give it 3D depth due to the stiffness of the fused/melded fabric. The ears thinnest for folding at the base connection to the top of the head
Why is this trait unstable? These ears are sealed flat and "melded" together, preventing any mist from entering or leaving VS. Holes and tears where a foxes ear(s) remain in a 3d plane even when ripped apart in areas.
This trait is combinable with other head traits, such as:
- R floppy ears -the flat ear can be creased folded and crinkled up into shapes, even folded up like origami! These ears can also be rolled up with this trait into a cute tight curl!
- VR winged ears -can give flat paper like 3d folded wing look.
- VR Ear Extensions -to increase the effects youd like to use on this! An idea of this would be U 2D ears, VR long floppy ears, to make long flowing curled ribbon like ears!
This trait CANNOT:
- have the standard 3D scarfox ear look, it must resemble the example image given for this trait!
Examples of some combinations can be seen below:
If you have any questions or concerns about this trait, or possible combinations, please contact Darci or Benaberrry for further help!
This information may be updated in the future to better explain and structure this information for the benefit of the staffing and community
Hearts (Uncommon)
This trait permits a scarfoxes ear studs to be heart shaped in overall shape and depth! their studs can have a rounded top to them vs the flat 2d studs, and can come in a variety of colors and sizes! a single heart is permitted per ear, for multiple hearts you're best with VR complex shapes! this shape can be rotated around and be upside down if one wishes, but cannot have things like a tail to it to resemble a spade
why is this trait uncommon? this trait was established at the start of the species existence, and thusly will not be changing rarity
why are hearts and stars not apart of geometric? this trait was pre established alongside geometric shapes and had their rarity set, due to this we will not be changing/merging these traits at this time
This trait is combinable with other ear traits, such as:
- VR no studs
- R floppy ears
- many other ear traits available to the species! if you're unsure if your combination wouldnt work, please contact a myo moderator on site or in our discord qna!
This trait CANNOT:
- be of any other shaping opposed to what is listed for this trait
- be combined with R eye ears, as the eyes in a foxes ear REPLACE the studs
- become so small its unseeable for myo staffing to tell, or so large it mistakes the whole of the ear for the stud
- go outside of the flat inner ear area, or be off center
- be used on VR missing stud (as theres nothing to affect)
- be mistaken for another trait by myo staffing
If you have any questions or concerns about this trait or possible combinations, please contact Darci or Benaberrry for further help!
This information may be updated in the future to better explain and structure this information for the benefit of the staffing and community.
Swirls (Common)
This trait is another classic common trait available to anyones myo! this permits a scarfoxes stud to be swirled or curled into itself, and can vary in intensity and size in the ear, alongside its colors and placement inside the ear!
Below are some examples of ways to use the swirl trait!
why is this trait common? this trait was established at the start of the species existence, and thusly will not be changing rarity
why can we not make separate swirl pieces for this trait? that would fall under VR complex shapes, of which you can do almost anything with a foxes inner ear stud! if you feel it may borderline breaking the traits standard, please message a myo staff member!
This trait is combinable with other ear traits, such as:
- VR ear extensions
- VR winged ears
- R floppy ears
- many other ear traits available to the species! if you're unsure if your combination wouldnt work, please contact a myo moderator on site or in our discord qna!
This trait CANNOT:
- be combined with R eye ears, as the eyes in a foxes ear REPLACE the studs
- be combined with VR missing stud trait as its fully removed off a foxes ear
- be mistaken for another trait by myo staffing
- move off the ears inner area (cannot be on the back of the ears, side, etc)
Geometric Shape (Common)
This trait is a species standard for many foxes to have! the geometric shaped studs can be of any geometric shape excluding heart and star. geometric shaped studs are of a flat 2d plane, typically resting on top or snug inside a foxes ear, and can be of any color or combination of colors! geometric shapes must be one solid stud, multiple pieced studs are considered complex shapes. the placement of a foxes studs can be of varying areas on the ear, some have them near the very tip of the ears, others down at the very base of the headline! sizing can also vary, but must be definable as the trait listed.
Below are some examples of simple geometric shapes your fox can have!
why is this trait common? this trait was established at the start of the species existence, and is the classic basic shape choice for scarfox studs beyond common!
why are hearts and stars not apart of this? this trait was pre established alongside geometric shapes and had their rarity set, due to this we will not be changing/merging these traits at this time
This trait is combinable with other ear traits, such as:
- VR ear extensions
- VR winged ears
- R floppy ears
- many other ear traits available to the species! if you're unsure if your combination wouldnt work, please contact a myo moderator on site or in our discord qna!
This trait CANNOT:
- be combined with R eye ears, as the eyes in a foxes ear REPLACE the studs
- become so small its unseeable for myo staffing to tell, or so large it mistakes the whole of the ear for the stud
- move off the ears inner area (cannot be on the back of the ears, side, etc)
Lynx (Uncommon)
This trait adds a fluffy tuft to the tips of any scarfoxes ear, no matter the shape! the tips of fluff must be made of some form of fur or fluffy hair like material, and well defined enough to tell it apart from the ear base (it can be shorter than the example piece given here, or longer/fluffier, pom pom puffed or curled, etc!).
why is this trait uncommon? this trait was established at the start of the species existence, and thusly will not be changing rarity
why is this not combined with tuffs? for the same reason its an uncommon trait
This trait is combinable with other ear traits, such as:
- UC tuffs to make big fluffy ears
- UC smoosh
- any type of inner ear stud trait available
- many other ear traits available to the species! if you're unsure if your combination wouldnt work, please contact a myo moderator on site or in our discord qna!
This trait CANNOT:
- be so short that a myo staff member cannot tell if the trait is being used or not
- be an over the top long length to where it no longer resembles the trait
- made into a flat 2d form, this is best with VR ear shape extensions
- be mistaken for another trait by myo staffing
If you have any questions or concerns about this trait or possible combinations, please contact Darci or Benaberrry for further help!
This information may be updated in the future to better explain and structure this information for the benefit of the staffing and community.
Smoosh (Uncommon)
This trait takes the standard scarfox ear size and shape and smooshes it down into soft rounder ears! any ear studs remain within the inner ear area as before, and has a fluffy lining between the inner and outer ear if desired! smooshed ears can have soft pointed ear tips, or be more rounded and squishy!
why is this trait uncommon? this trait was established at the start of the species existence, and thusly will not be changing rarity
This trait is combinable with other ear traits, such as:
- VR no studs
- R floppy ears (for a short curled over or under ear)
- VR shape extensions
- VR winged ears (for tiny cherub like wing ears)
- many other ear traits available to the species! if you're unsure if your combination wouldnt work, please contact a myo moderator on site or in our discord qna!
This trait CANNOT:
- include fur on the outside of the ears without UC lynx
- be mistaken for another trait by myo staffing
If you have any questions or concerns about this trait or possible combinations, please contact Darci or Benaberrry for further help!
This information may be updated in the future to better explain and structure this information for the benefit of the staffing and community.
Shape Extension (Rare)
This trait allows a scarfox 2d extensions from the ears at any location along them! These extensions do not have a length limit, but myo staffing may reject it if its outside of a within reason range.
Shape extensions can created decorative boarders around a foxes ear to bring flare and focus, or to blend a designs theme together! This trait can either look separate from the base ear, or blend into it to help smooth transition the ears down into the head.
These flat 2d extensions can be curled into tight spring like forms if long enough, so long as the main piece reads as 2D, but this is subject to MYO staffing remarks on how its drawn! These shapes dont have much of a shape limit, just as long as they're not mimicking another trait.
why is this trait rare? this trait was established at the start of the species existence, and thusly will not be changing rarity
This trait is combinable with other traits, such as:
- VR complex studs- extra stud pieces outside of the center stud can use this surface area so long as its apart of the flat front of a foxes ear!
- VR winged ears- emphasize those wings with 2d decorative extensions! maybe they act as long drooping decorative addons that bring the theme of your design up into the head area!
- other tail traits available to the species! if you're unsure if your combination wouldnt work, please contact a myo moderator on site or in our discord qna!
This trait CANNOT:
- be mistaken for another trait by myo staffing
- be made into a 3D form
- affect a scarfoxes standard ear stud (VR complex studs is ok tho, see above for how to incorporate it!)
If you have any questions or concerns about this trait or possible combinations, please contact Darci or Benaberrry for further help!
This information may be updated in the future to better explain and structure this information for the benefit of the staffing and community.
Tuffs (Uncommon)
This trait takes a scarfoxes stud in their ear and replaces it with an ear full of fluff! this fluff can differ on lengths, texture, thicknesses, and amount inside the ear! the fluff can be so long one can braid it or add jewelry into it, and can be any color!
why is this trait uncommon? this trait was established at the start of the species existence, and thusly will not be changing rarity
This trait is combinable with other ear traits, such as:
- VR long floppy ears for extra fluff!
- UC smoosh for tiny plush filled ears
- VR shape extensions
- other ear traits available to the species! if you're unsure if your combination wouldnt work, please contact a myo moderator on site or in our discord qna!
This trait CANNOT:
- be trimmed so short it does not read as inner ear fur, you would be best using VR no studs instead!
- come from any other spot of a foxes ear other than the inner ear area where the stud once resided
- be mistaken for another trait by myo staffing
If you have any questions or concerns about this trait or possible combinations, please contact Darci or Benaberrry for further help!
This information may be updated in the future to better explain and structure this information for the benefit of the staffing and community.
Stars (Uncommon)
This trait changes a scarfoxes inner ear studs to a star shape! shapes can include the traditional 5 pointed star, 4 pointed star, and 8 pointed star. Ear studs can be of any color and sizing in the ear. If wanting multiple studs in the ear R complex studs would be best with this!
why is this trait uncommon? this trait was established at the start of the species existence, and thusly will not be changing rarity
This trait is combinable with other ear traits, such as:
- UC smoosh
- R floppy
- other ear traits available to the species! if you're unsure if your combination wouldnt work, please contact a myo moderator on site or in our discord qna!
This trait CANNOT:
Ear Eyes (Rare)
This trait turns a scarfoxes inner ear, including the ear stud, into a functioning set of eyes! these eyes do not close nor blink, and can take up the entire area of the inner ear (example: Scarfox-1668 ), or just the area the ear stud inhabited (example: Scarfox-2005 ).
Eyes can be of any type, including animal eyes without VR animalia, but must appear as eyes and not be confused with other traits of the species. pupil shapes are not traited and can be anything one imagines, including multiple pupils in a single eye.
why is this trait rare? this trait was established at the start of the species existence, and thusly will not be changing rarity
This trait is combinable with other traits, such as:
- VR shape extensions- give eyelash shapes, ridges or edges to the ear eyes for additional flare and focus in your design!
- VR winged ears- folded closed none may see, but opened up can give a design a dramatic look!
- R floppy ears- same vibe as winged ears!
- R extra long floppy- mixed with H clustered eyes to give multiple ear eyes down the inner ear, can give a skin crawling feeling to an otherwise cute idea!
- other traits available to the species! if you're unsure if your combination wouldnt work, please contact a myo moderator on site or in our discord qna!
This trait CANNOT:
- exceed beyond the inner ear area
- be detatched from the inner ears placement (would be better off with M multiple eyes!)
- be mistaken for another trait by myo staffing
If you have any questions or concerns about this trait or possible combinations, please contact Darci or Benaberrry for further help!
This information may be updated in the future to better explain and structure this information for the benefit of the staffing and community.
Floppy (Rare)
This trait turns your standard ear type into a folded set of forward or sideways flopping ears! ears can either be puppy dog flopped (example: Scarfox-231 ), one flopped one standing upright or semi upright (example: Scarfox-1395 ) flopped at where the ears attach to the head, or flopped to hide in plain sight with hair (a side reference for the ears upright and showing may be requested by the myo staff team for masterlist purposes)
Floppy ears can have differing lengths to the ear, differing amounts of folds to the ear and severity of their folds, differing thicknesses to the ears, and differing sizes so long as they are not mistaken for another trait by a myo staff member!
why is this trait rare? this trait was established at the start of the species existence, and thusly will not be changing rarity
This trait is combinable with other traits, such as:
- UC lynx ears/R ear extensions- to give extra fluffy length to your foxes floppy ears!
- UC tuffs- to give a dense fluffy overflow of softness to the inner ear! could mimic an earmuff vibe for those cozy designs!
- H holes and tears- allows the runes and or wisps to hide within the body temporarily, can give a creepy vibe from the inside of a fox!
- other traits available to the species! if you're unsure if your combination wouldnt work, please contact a myo moderator on site or in our discord qna!
This trait CANNOT:
- be so long, or flop backwards that it mimics extra long floppy
- be so short its mistaken for smoosh ears without said trait added on
- be without any form of flop or fold to the ear itself
- be mistaken for another trait by myo staffing
If you have any questions or concerns about this trait or possible combinations, please contact Darci or Benaberrry for further help!
This information may be updated in the future to better explain and structure this information for the benefit of the staffing and community.
Short Tail (Uncommon)
This trait takes a scarfoxes tail and shortens it smaller than the standard minimum length! this can make a foxes tail appear fuller with fluff or scruffier in texture towards either the entire length or the mid to tip of the tail, as the fur to tail ratio is more compacted down!
why is this trait uncommon? this trait was established at the start of the species existence, and thusly will not be changing rarity
This trait is combinable with other ear traits, such as:
- VR mystical tail for smaller fantasy type tails, including elemental tails as these are separate from the elemental subtype
- any of our multiple tail traits such as VR 5-6 tails, why not a fan of flowing fish tails, or eel tails!
- R insect tail for a stumpy lil bumblebee butt!
- other ear traits available to the species! if you're unsure if your combination wouldnt work, please contact a myo moderator on site or in our discord qna!
This trait CANNOT:
- go beyond the set minimum length for a standard scarfox tail
- be so short it can be mistaken for R pom pom tail
- only affect one tail if combining with a multi tail trait
- be mistaken for another trait by myo staffing
If you have any questions or concerns about this trait or possible combinations, please contact Darci or Benaberrry for further help!
This information may be updated in the future to better explain and structure this information for the benefit of the staffing and community.
Insecta tail (Rare)
This trait allows a scarfox a tail of any insect origin thats exists on earth. Insecta tails cannot exceed standard lengths without an extra trait (so if a member would like a very long centipede tail, R long tail will also need to be applied). Prehistoric era insects are best under VR mystical tail
why is this trait rare? this trait was established at the start of the species existence, and thusly will not be changing rarity
This trait is combinable with other traits, such as:
- any length altering tail trait (UC short tail, R long tail, R pom pom)
- any form of multiple tail traits (R 2-3 tails, VR 5-6 tails, H 4 tails, and M 7-9 tails)
- most other tail traits available to the species! if you're unsure if your combination wouldnt work, please contact a myo moderator on site or in our discord qna!
This trait CANNOT:
- be mistaken for another trait by myo staffing
- utilize any other part of the insect unless specifically apart of the tail, this is best under VR mystical tail and discussed with staffing
- have wings of any type on it without VR wings added on
- function as the actual tail (such as a scorpion tail cannot deliver venom) without the addition of VR animalia
- utilize fantasy insects, VR mystical tail is best for that!
- bypass length traits without having them in use
If you have any questions or concerns about this trait or possible combinations, please contact Darci or Benaberrry for further help!
This information may be updated in the future to better explain and structure this information for the benefit of the staffing and community.
2-3 Tails (Rare)
This trait allows a scarfox an additional 1-2 tails for a total of 2-3 tails! All tails need to mirror the traits they have applied, so if one tail uses R insecta, all tails need insecta of the same insect type, but can have different colors patterns etc per tail. Floating limbs requires the set of tails to be floating as well, and so on.
why is this trait rare? this trait was established at the start of the species existence, and thusly will not be changing rarity
This trait is combinable with other traits, such as:
- any other tail traits available to the species except for H missing tail! if you're unsure if your combination wouldnt work, please contact a myo moderator on site or in our discord qna!
This trait CANNOT:
- be mistaken for another trait by myo staffing
- be mixed with H missing tail as these have set determined lengths, and ones just missing outright.
- break the tail length guidelines (a general guide can be found here )
If you have any questions or concerns about this trait or possible combinations, please contact Darci or Benaberrry for further help!
This information may be updated in the future to better explain and structure this information for the benefit of the staffing and community.
Animal Tail (Uncommon)
This trait takes a scarfoxes tail and turns it into any animal tail! crocodile, dinosaur, snake, cat, leemur, you name it! the range of length on the tail need to retain within the relative sizing for the standard tail, unless using a tail length altering trait such as R pom pom for a small hamster tail, or R long tail for very noodly snake tails! the example in the image is of a goldfish tail!
why is this trait uncommon? this trait was established at the start of the species existence, and thusly will not be changing rarity
This trait is combinable with other ear traits, such as:
- R long tail to have a beyond body length snake tail!
- VR 5-6 tails, or any extra number amount of tail traits we have to expand upon it! many kitty tails, or monkey tails for a few more helping hand!
- other tail traits available to the species! if you're unsure if your combination wouldnt work, please contact a myo moderator on site or in our discord qna!
This trait CANNOT:
- be any type of mythical animal, that would fall under VR mystical tail
- break the standard size guide for our species tails without the appropriate length trait (such as R pom pom for extremely short tails, UC short, and R long)
- be mistaken for another trait by myo staffing
If you have any questions or concerns about this trait or possible combinations, please contact Darci or Benaberrry for further help!
This information may be updated in the future to better explain and structure this information for the benefit of the staffing and community.
