Traits
Visor (Uncommon)
This trait takes a scarfoxes face and covers at minimum the eyes with a semi transparent visor that is fused to the head. The visor has no mobility to swivel off a foxes eyes, and must be some form of tinted of any color. Visors can cover at minimum a foxes eyes, or at maximum over the foxes face below to the chin/jaw area, and up to the base of the ears. Visors may appear as a separate addon to the fox, or a fused part of the foxes face.
Below is a quick visual guide of the minimum to maximum coverage a visor can have
why is this trait rare? due to its effect on a foxes head to not only cover, but be fused and give the effect of a different material on the body that is not the standard cloth material without VR funcitonal item.
This trait is combinable with other head traits, such as:
- M missing mouth- to give the face a more sleek and subtle appearance
- VR functional item- touch screen capabilities, screen projections may appear on the mask, and can even let the mask emote function with its display, among other addons like antenna, or circuitry!
- other head traits available to the species! if you're unsure if your combination wouldnt work, please contact a myo moderator on site or in our discord qna!
This trait CANNOT:
- beshaped in any way that may break the scarfoxes standard headshapes
- fully cover the head
- be given abnormal shapes that may appear as being used with other traits, such as giving it extended horns without using one of our horn traits
- be mistaken for another trait by myo staffing
If you have any questions or concerns about this trait or possible combinations, please contact Darci or Benaberrry for further help!
This information may be updated in the future to better explain and structure this information for the benefit of the staffing and community.
Unhinged (Unstable)
This trait allows a scarfox's mouth to open and extend beyond the heads general capacity! leaving a fox able to open up its mouth much wider than ever before, expanding the amount of teeth a fox may have as well!
why is this trait unstable? unstable traits tend to be on a much more unhelpful, if not harmful side to scarfoxes, and can heavily alter a foxes appearance and functionality at times. The mouth spanning past the head is a special effect this traits does, while remaining a head trait. Alongside these things, a Scarfox will have issues trying to eat or speak, as with a longer open mouth formulating words is alot harder with such a long mouth, typically leading to more gutteral noises than actual words. Some foxes also lack the control to be able to hold these mouths closed, leaving one to see a dropped jaw with a long tongue hanging out of it. Some unstable foxes tend to wrap their necks up to hold that lower section closed so they can form clearer words, and function like they used to.
This trait is combinable with other head traits, such as:
- R Ripped Mouth (which could in theory help keep the longer mouth more managably closed)
- R Vertical Mouth (for a mouth split down the center of the head going beyond the stopping forehead and chin neck like area!)
- U Crossed Mouth
- H Chompers
- VR Closed Mouth (which may seem painful, but may be a preferred choice to a fox vs a long hanging open jaw)
This trait CANNOT:
- go beyond the visual guides
- be split into different ways without the appropriate trait combined for the desired affect! if you're not sure which trait will give which effect, feel free to dm a MYO staff member with a visual example!
Example of this trait being combined with others can be seen below!
If you have any questions or concerns about this trait, or possible combinations, please contact Darci or Benaberrry for further help!
This information may be updated in the future to better explain and structure this information for the benefit of the staffing and community
Void Head (Unstable)
This trait turns your standard fabric and mist filled scarfox head into something thats not really a solidified head anymore! A pitch black empty billowing of unknown matter consumes a foxes head down to the mist, leaving the fox with nothing but its mouth intact! Its studs and ears turned to blend into the void, what goes on inside is... unknown.
- Differing ear shape traits will affect the shape the void takes on in that location, so if one has UC smoosh, your void area there would mirror that shape area.
- Teeth/mouth affecting traits would stay intact, and would not be consumed by the void.
- Traits like M Stardrops, R Stitched Eye, H Empty Socket, and H Void Eye will remain tangible on the surface of the void area, but will be warble and shifted with the mass itself, U Stardrops may appear as if bleeding off into the void.
- The traits Void eyes and Hollow Sockets will go from back to white in the instance of being used with this trait, due to the duel negatives turning the additional trait into a positive, this alongside U Color Drain only trait combo that can turn void eyes any other value or color opposed to black.
- If using Elemental Cloak, the cloak must look like an addon, and not a replacement for the void heads area (so one cannot just turn the void heads coloring different and call it fire, an extra amount of fire/effects must be added on to look like its added on TOP of the void head)
why is this trait unstable? for its affects on the scarfox being so incredibly drastic, these heads can be blown over and leveled with the foxes mouth, giving the illusion for a brief moment that a fox has no top half to its head at all!
This trait is combinable with other head traits, such as:
- H Void Eyes, your void eyes need to be of a different color to your head void so we can see they have the trait! this can be a subtle change or a strongly contrasting one!
- any available ear stud trait
- any available ear shape trait like VR winged ears, UC smooshed, R floppy, etc. The only exclusion is long floppy due to the distance it pulls away from the core of the head, alongside the effects this trait has on the ear area of a fox.
- M Multiple Limbs (heads). this trait can coat the entire mass of the heads, but the mouths and ears must stay in the place they normally rest
- U Mirrored Head
This trait CANNOT:
- only cover some parts of the head
- have the head look beyond the scarfox standard anatomy for the masterlist entry, personal artwork is another thing though. even so, this trait does not permit the shaping of a scarfoxes head into things like animal muzzles, beaks, or shapes/alterations that would break the core anatomy of our species, for both ML entries and prompt entries.
Example of this trait being combined with void eyes can be seen below:
If you have any questions or concerns about this trait, or possible combinations, please contact Darci or Benaberrry for further help!
This information may be updated in the future to better explain and structure this information for the benefit of the staffing and community
Underbite/Overbite (Rare)
This trait gives a fox a larger either upper or lower jawline, creating an underbite or overbite to the fox!
why is this trait rare? while it may seem like a minor alteration, underbites/overbites are seen as a form of defect, giving a creature problems trying to eat, chew, or speak! For this reason we decided it be rare
This trait is combinable with other head traits, such as:
- H Chompers
- R Vertical Mouth
- UC Fangs /Tusks
- other mouth traits available to the species! if you're unsure if your combination wouldnt work, please contact a myo moderator on site or in our discord qna!
This trait CANNOT:
- only underbite/overbite a small portion of a foxes mouth, it needs to show enough for it to count as the trait! otherwise its viewed as a stylistic choice
- be combined with VR closed mouth (as this mouth is sealed shut by biting over the lips and fusing a seal)
- this is (atm) specifically for underbites and overbites, other misalignments such as open bites and cross bites do not fall under this trait!
Example of this trait open and closed:
If you have any questions or concerns about this trait or possible combinations, please contact Darci or Benaberrry for further help!

No Teeth (HOLDBACK) (NPC)
This trait allows a fox to be void of any teeth in their mouth! The "gum line" of the foxes mouth will retain what looks like stitching to ensure the fabric is sealed tight!
the lip can be sealed with a standard stitch, and X stitch, or an embroidery edged lip! this embroidery lip allows for an expanded opportunity of lip shapes and boardered edges for a scarfoxes mouth! this permits a form of irregular shaping for the mouth thats beyond the H chomper look. this does NOT add on extra fabric, this instead stitches up into the head along the gumline, and recedes the lips edge a certain amount. any fox with this trait cannot rest their mouth closed normally, the mouth will always have a gapping between the top and bottom lip due to the cheek stud holding the shape of what was once there. embroidered lips can have a thicker look, a variety of colors, and can have extra embroidered accents above the initial application for decorative purposes.
Why is this trait unstable? A foxes teeth are a necessity not just to its existence but for the species anatomy as a whole! Unstable foxes with this trait are truly damned to a tough life, as consuming or biting down onto anything feels similar to a goldfish nibbling ones finger (in short, not much pressure at all, as fox heads are just fabric with mist, and not muscle/bone/cartilage). This trait offers no pain to a fox who lives with it, and can open and close like your normal mouth. When the mouth closes it closes at a bit of an odd angle, usually squishing down the cheek tab in an uncomfortable pinched position. Thusly foxes typically like to have the mouth resting slightly open!
Why is this unstable and VR Closed Mouth isnt? When closed mouth was created, it was before we started figuring out what makes an unstable trait unstable, and to prevent any further confusion with trait rarities we are leaving it as it stays! This also keeps it more available to the community who shows interest in using a trait thats less than beneficial to a scarfox if they please.
This trait is combinable with other head traits, such as:
- R vertical mouth
- R ripped mouth
- U Unhinged mouth
- U Void head, excess embroidery is absorbed into the mass of the void head tho, only the lips edge is visible.
This trait CANNOT:
- be mixed with VR Closed Mouth unless its through a special event.
- cannot have things like fleshy "gums" as the heads are just fabric (for official masterlist artwork submissions, stylized artwork is fine beyond this)
✦ Shaped Teeth ✦ (NPC)
✦ This trait is limited to staff usage at this time, this is to let us iron out the can's and can'ts of this traits effect, and if we wish to keep this trait in the species/release it for community use! Why not keep it held back until its fully developed? We cannot fully develope some of these traits without going through the trial periods of using them in the species!
✦ TO PREFACE: THIS TRAIT MAY NOT BE STAFF LIMITED FOREVER, it is ONLY limited to staff at this time so we can iron out the cans and cants, how it can fully incorporate into lore, etc. Do not ask in qna about when these traits will be released to community usage. It may look like the idea is fleshed out enough below, but theres more to it we need to figure out! If you have any questions please dm Benaberrry or Darci
This trait permits other shapes and forms to teeth beyond the standard scarfox teeth! Any scarfox teeth must rest on a flat 2d like plane like our usual teeth, and cannot resemble or replicate human teeth in any way, shape, or form. teeth must be visible in the mouth, and cannot be extremely short, or so short it mimics the U Missing Teeth trait, or the VR Closed Mouth trait.
Why is this trait unstable? A fox requires the standard teeth to be able to consume things, down to if a fox becomes hollow mystic or unstable, rogue mist to persist exisitng! The alteration of a foxes teeth affects the species (as a whole) ability to thrive, as a choice of teeth can be completely flat smoothed over teeth that are more herbivorous! or even teeth that overlap one another and form a very irregular looking bite!
This trait is combinable with other head traits, such as:
- U Missing teeth to have a tooth missing grin to your fox if desired
- UC tusks/fangs to make teeth overgrow and overlap over one another in a way that cannot close naturally flush any further
This trait CANNOT:
- be mixed with VR Closed Mouth
- form a tooth layout that cannot close completely smooth without the use of other traits
- grow through a foxes face without H holes and tears
Examples of some combinations can be seen below:
Mirrored Head (Unstable)
Mirrored Head allows a fox to have perfect copies of its face come out of the back and or sides of the original head. These faces all share one head base, connected to a single neck. When using this trait, all faces must mirror the traits of the other faces, so if a fox has UC colored teeth, all teeth need to be colored, but can be differing colors!
While the heads are merged at the back to a single neck base, ears may also be fused together side by side (not back to back or front to front)
why is this trait unstable? The foxes heads are not the only thing that splits and or duplicates! Foxes with this trait contains multiple conciousness within them! SPOILED FOR DARK LORE:
The soul before coming to this realm could have had their collective souls merged into one entity by the souls choice before reaching the All Mother, leading to this trait giving each one its own voice and face. Likewise, the fox in question before having this trait added, may have been of one sound mind in the beginning, then split into separate pieces of its inner concious as the Unstable trait tore them apart from the inside, being too much to handle. Any fox afflicted with this trait is not of sound mind, and are very tormented souls who cannot get a grasp on their surroundings, new life, or even their bodies, and end up wandering or causing large problems out of their own control. For a fox that would have more stable control over their minds, Multiple Limbs (heads) is a better option!
This trait is combinable with other traits, such as:
- VR Winged Ears/VR Wings for biblically accurate angel vibes
- VR Growth
- R Vertical Mouth
- U Void Head
- U Unhinged (mouths can go down the neck and connect at a single point, splitting off in a Y shaping from the collarbone up. The mouths hinge then via the center back connection where all heads are fused)
This trait CANNOT:
- have less than a complete second face attached on the head in a horizontal level (half formed face splitting from another is not allowed)
- have the heads fused vertically (bottom of the head merged with the top of another head)
- have an unreasonable amount of heads
- have the heads on separate necks and entirely separate heads, if you wish for this effect M Multiple Limbs is the trait for you!
- have traits differing per head, such as one head cannot have UC colored teeth without the other head having UC colored teeth.
If you have any questions or concerns about this trait, or possible combinations, please contact Darci or Benaberrry for further help!

Cross Mouth (Unstable)
This head traits permits one use of either or split options offered below! The Cross mouth trait is an unstable trait that permits a second mouth split alongside the normal mouth chosen! the normal mouth is able to be twisted and turned to rest on an X axis or + axis as shown below.
why is this trait unstable? This is due to the way it alters a foxes facial structure and mouth functionality.
why is this unstable but R vertical mouth isnt? vertical mouth was made before we truly established what makes an unstable trait unstable, and to prevent future confusion with traits we are leaving it as is! this also gives members a less rare option to choose without needing something as rare as an unstable potion!
This trait is combinable with other head traits, such as:
- R Vertical Mouth to give a 3rd split in combo with an x axis split
- H Chompers
- UC Fangs and Tusks to give a disheveled toothy appeal
- U Unhinged to continue the split down a foxes head and neck, etc! (if choosing this combo, please note your ML entry will need a headshot showing the mouths CLOSED to create the main head)
This trait CANNOT:
- go past the head/face area
- be used on H multiple mouth to create X and or + axis mouths across the body, as thiis is a head trait!
- be merged with any non teeth affecting trait
Examples of the axis splits can be found below:
If you have any questions or concerns about this trait, or possible combinations, please contact Darci or Benaberrry for further help!
This information may be updated in the future to better explain and structure this information for the benefit of the staffing and community
Fangs/Tusks (Uncommon)
This trait permits a scarfoxes mouth to have an overgrown set of fangs and or tusks! While the trait is titled fangs and or tusks, a fox may have this trait mimick the minor appearance of grub insizors towards the back of the mouth when mixed with VR animalia (demonstrated on this design: Scarfox-1695 ), and may have their tusks in any location along the mouth. Tusks shaped like elephant tusks or mammoth shaped tusks are fine wtihout the need of VR animalia due to this being the default shaping of the traits funciton.
This trait can have light scrapes and abrasions on the tusks without it counting as UC scars and stitches
Sizing of fangs/tusks must be within reason with this trait alone (cannot obstruct the basic functions of a scarfox, such as extreme sizing or amounts.)
- Why is this trait uncommon?
- This trait was established at the start of the species existence, and thusly will not be changing rarity
- This trait was established at the start of the species existence, and thusly will not be changing rarity
This trait is combinable with other head traits, such as:
- Any form of head mouth trait except for:
- VR closed mouth (lore purpose: as the lips are sealed via biting over the lip and fusing the teeth to the fabric),
- M mouthless (no mouth there to affect in the first place)
- VR Animalia- can create insect like mandible tusks (not literal), can enhance mammoth or elephant like tusks, give warthog tusks, walrus tusks, among other animal kingdom tusks.
- H holes and tears- could pierce through parts of a foxes head (like overgrown tusks or horns may do on certain animals)
This trait CANNOT:
- Be mistaken by another trait by myo staffing
- mimick things like antlers growing out of the mouth even with VR animalia
Examples of some combinations can be seen below:
If you have any questions or concerns about this trait or possible combinations, please contact Darci or Benaberrry for further help!

Small Horns (Rare)
This trait applies one or more sets of small horns to a foxes head! A small horn ranges from short to medium sizing (a good example of max sizing for small horns can be seen on Scarfox-1797 , as well as on Scarfox-1436 (more deer like horns)). A general rule of thumb for a small horns max height, is half the ear height of a standard ear. Amount of small horns is within reason, if you feel like you may be breaching that amount, please ask for a myo staff member to check in our myo qna section on our discord!
why is this trait rare? this trait was established at the start of the species existence, and thusly will not be changing rarity
This trait is combinable with other traits, such as:
- VR large horns- can give a layer of depth to the head area when using both traits!
- VR unihorn- complete the trio and make a beautiful crown of horns on your fox! (example: Scarfox-953 )
- R runes and wisps- create floating pieces around your foxes horns for a more mystical appearace!
- VR animalia- permits the shaping of deer horns, small dragon horns, etc!
- UC spikes- spread the small horn vibes around to the arms to create balance across your design!
- other traits available to the species! if you're unsure if your combination wouldnt work, please contact a myo moderator on site or in our discord qna!
This trait CANNOT:
- be so small that its unrecognizable as a horn and could be mistaken as a piercing
- be any bigger than around half to 2/3rds of a scarfoxes standard ear height
- be mistaken for another trait by myo staffing
If you have any questions or concerns about this trait or possible combinations, please contact Darci or Benaberrry for further help!
This information may be updated in the future to better explain and structure this information for the benefit of the staffing and community.
Coloured Teeth (Uncommon)
This trait permits a scarfox's tooth, or teeth, to have any choice of color! The color range for teeth falls from a stained off white and anything beyond that. Foxes can have multiple colors on their teeth with this trait, even rainbow teeth! coloring can be applied in any way, such as a member can have one tooth a gradient rainbow and another tooth gold looking without the need of multiple uses of this trait (its a one and done essentially)
Members may use this to color a tooth black to make it appear missing, but please do not draw the design like the teeth are actually missing, as scarfoxes at this time cannot have missing teeth.
Teeth may resemble either metallic or opalescent rendering, but if too close to something that breaks this trait, it may be rejected by myo staffing, so checking in our myo channel with a wip shot is best!
Coloring of teeth if with H multiple mouths does not need to match across all mouths, but all sets of teeth must be colored in some way

This trait CANNOT:
