Traits
Color Drain (Unstable)
This body trait allows a fox to be completely void of any and all color! (Note: Purple boarder is to help discern it as an Unstable trait in line with our color coding)
why is this trait unstable? The mist has affected the fabrics pigmentation of the scarfox from having to adjust to a drastic mist balance change, and subsequently took out all coloring on a foxes body, down to their ear studs! This trait does not remove UC Colored Teeth. Coloring to a fox is removed from both the outside and inside. The foxes mist does not change color.
Subtype Effects:
Elemental cloaks are not sapped of their colors with this trait
Chameleon potions can be applied, but this can only change/shift the values on a fox. so if you have a fully white fox, the alt pallets can range from the white to black spectrum, so a fox can have their main white pallet, an alt grey pallet, and a third alt black pallet if desired!
Due to the way the chameleon potion works, certain values on a fox have the option of being changed or not. HOWEVER, this does not permit a grey fox with dark grey fingers to alt pallet into a grey fox with grey fingers of the same value, it must be discernably different to where a staff member can see the difference in value, so a dark grey or white may be a better option in this case!
This trait is combinable with other traits, such as:
- any and all traits available to the species excluding U Corrupted Wisps due to lore
Traits that are NOT affected by Color Drain, but have the option:
- R Runes and Wisps
- M Floating Eyes
- H Black Halo, U Cracked Halo, M Halo
- H Void Eye (permits value shifting to show up in contrast to a foxes base value, NOT to blend into the face and become unviewable (you would be best with H Missing Eyes instead!))
This trait alone CANNOT:
- have any hint of color or saturation across the body in any way shape or form, but accessories with color are fine!
- be used on a foxes eye to make it appear like H Sockets or H Void Eyes, a highlight in the eye must be present for ML entries for ease of discernability
If you have any questions or concerns about this trait, or possible combinations, please contact Darci or Benaberrry for further help!

✦ Misfused Limbs ✦ (NPC)
✦ This trait is limited to staff usage at this time, this is to let us iron out the can's and can'ts of this traits effect, and if we wish to keep this trait in the species/release it for community use! Why not keep it held back until its fully developed? We cannot fully develope some of these traits without going through the trial periods of using them in the species!
✦ TO PREFACE: THIS TRAIT MAY NOT BE STAFF LIMITED FOREVER, it is ONLY limited to staff at this time so we can iron out the cans and cants, how it can fully incorporate into lore, etc. Do not ask in qna about when these traits will be released to community usage. It may look like the idea is fleshed out enough below, but theres more to it we need to figure out! If you have any questions please dm Benaberrry or Darci
This trait allows a foxes limbs to be sewn into different jointed parts of a fox, swapped about in a big of a jumbled or confusing mess. These limbs must be resewn onto the another socket the limb is swapped with. the body parts swappable are legs, arms, tail, neck, and head.
why is this trait unstable? the limbs being moved and mixed up across a body is seen as a top form of reprocussion to a fox, having ones head stuck right above their read end is pretty drastic! this trait is EXTREMELY rarely seen on a fox, and is seen on the same level as U Manifested Mist.
This trait is combinable with any other traits available to the scarfox species, such as:
- H Missing Limbs, then M Extra Limbs to do things like remove a foxes legs and replace them with an extra set of arms!
This trait CANNOT:
- be resewn into other areas that are not a socket
- remove a foxes head entirely from the design

This trait allows a fox to have any existing traits of our species to affect other articles of clothing fused to their body that is NOT the common scarfox scarf wrap around ones neck. NOTE that if you wish to have traits affect that scarf, it has to be canonically fused/apart of your foxes neck area.
why is this trait unstable? Due to the large amount of affects this can have on a fox! from altering the basic silhouettes, to giving more intense effects to existing ideas, this trait can be highly experimental and can push the normal bounds of scarfox anatomy very hard. for this same reason is why it is staff limited!
This trait is combinable with all other traits for the scarfox species.
This trait CANNOT:
- completely break a scarfox silhouette to where it is unrecognizable
- be naturally removable from a fox without using traits like VR Floating Limbs
- more to be determined/figured out as this trait is used/considered among staffing.
Below is another example of how this trait can be applied and mixed, these examples may be updated as we discover new ways to combine and use this trait!

This trait is not for the faint of heart! This effect on a fox happens when a fox has been void of mist for so long, centuries one could record, that their body starts to literally unravel and become their life essence, mist! This mist can either be in a pure mist state, or in a half thread half mist state. This trait can only affect one section of a fox total. Meaning if i use this trait on the entire core of my fox, thats all it can be as this is enough to persist the fox beyond the normal means of death for ones soul. Of course this isnt a cure all, and the fox still craves mist to fill its bodies voids, but as a last resort temporary means, its life or death!
why is this trait unstable? due to its gruesome implications to the fox and its gruesome lore! This type of trait is EXTREMELY rare to ever see on a fox, some note that a fox with this trait is in a sort of purgatory life set upon them. No matter how much mist they consume after getting this trait, this deterioration of the body will never reform into normal fabric.
This trait is combinable with other body traits, such as:
- VR Functional items (a fox could attempt to "contain" the mist once more with an idea like a test tube body part, but its just a decorative piece as the mist continues to leak out)
- M Extra Limbs (A fox could be surrounded in a set of extra arms made into manifested mist, perhaps billowing behind them like a massive cloak of their essence?)
This trait CANNOT:
- be solidified into any form of mass or matter beyond its mist and semi thread look
- take up more than one body section at a time, the sections noted are: body (torso waist and or pelvis), arms (down to the fingers), head (including the ears), legs (thighs and all), and tail.
Braided/Knotted Limbs (Unstable)
This trait allows a fox to have their fabric either separated into strips and braided, or doubled over and knotted up! Braids and knots can be of any type, and can be across the body, including the waistline and legs. Knotted Arms/Braided Arms must end in a "bundle" of fingers!
This trait can affect many areas of a fox, but if it affects too many areas to where a staff member cannot tell it is a fox, you may have your entry rejected. Please check with MYO staffing, Benaberry, or Darci to see if your idea is ok!
why is this trait unstable? Braided/Knotted Limbs is where an area of the foxes body is separated into strips, all the way down to the end of that body section, then braided back over one another and refused/sealed into this braid with their fingers being knotted up! The limbs are tightly knotted in at least one area to prevent nearly any flow of mist into the rest of the body part. This alteration to a foxes body is painful, and having ones fingers in a permanent fumbling bundle doesnt feel the best.
why not have this be H holes and tears? this is due to the fact of the fabrics being refused together after the shredding or knotting. these knotted up areas cannot be undone, and can cause a great amount of problems with a foxes basic functions.
This trait can alter the following areas of a scarfox:
This trait is combinable with other traits, such as:
- VR Functional items (ideas like fiber optic cords came to mind when considering braided arms or body parts)
- VR Floating Limbs (ideas like a knotted up waist and torso hovering in the center of an otherwise pristine fox could give a cursed beauty vibe theme)
- UC Spikes to give a thorny vines look to affected arms
- H Holes and Tears to give tendril like shreds off the main knotted or braided areas
- M Spiritual arm
This trait CANNOT:
- be unwoven in any way shape or form.
- be used in a way to bypass other traits, or mimick things that may not be allowed for the scarfox anatomy. If you are unsure on if your idea would work, please contact MYO staffing with a visual example of your idea!
- alter the core scarfox anatomy so greatly that staffing cannot tell it is a scarfox
If you have any questions or concerns about this trait, or possible combinations, please contact Darci or Benaberrry for further help!

Body Zippers (Unstable)
This trait allows parts of a foxes body to be partially made up of zippers! These zippers can be real life zippers like the one on your jacket, or made up ones that look really funky in shapes and sizes! These zippers can replace important seam areas on a fox, and when mixed with certain traits can act as attachable and detachable limbs.
why is this trait unstable? The idea of Body Zippers (zippers in general) has been in discussion for some time with staffing due to its nature of function, and how that can contrast with the species base function and lore. In accordance with unreleased pending lore, this trait is best suited for Unstable.
why not have it as VR functional item? Functioinal Item covers a large amount of effects on the body, but zippers on their own give way to a fox being able to open and close parts of their body, which can deplete a fox of mist without many, if any, way to replace it if made a standard trait. Alongside unreleased lore for the species, and functional item existing before we started deciding what makes an unstable trait unstable, staffing decided Body Zippers are best suited being both separate from Functional Item, and for Unstable rarity.
Members, however, are fine to have zippers on clothing addons with any rarity of fox for ML entries, such as on shoes, jackets, etc!
This trait is combinable with other body traits, such as:
- H chomper mouth (zipper would follow along the zig zag of the teeth)
- VR Floating Limbs to allow a member to have a foxes body parts zip on and off!
- H Holes and Tears for an untwisting part of the body to unzip!
- M Multiple eyes to zip the eye shut if wanted!
- H Multiple mouths for a similar effect vibe as multi eyes
This trait CANNOT:
- completely make up a body part (as in a foxes arm cannot be 100% zipper alone with this trait alone). If you'd like a foxes tail made up of just a zipper, VR Mysticl Tail is best!
- be used to replace another traits effect (such as you cannot use Body Zippers to make a detatchable limb without having Floating Limbs in effect, and so on)
- be used to make a scarfox look unrecognizable from the standard species anatomy for ML and prompt entries.
If you have any questions or concerns about this trait, or possible combinations, please contact Darci or Benaberrry for further help!

Gems + Studs (Uncommon)
This trait permits a scarfox to have surface fused adornments of gemstones and or stud like piercings across their body. The gemstones must have some form of cut to them to differentiate them from VR growth (crystals/minerals), which are naturally rough growths that have no refinement, and can appear in clustered formations or sporatic placements on a foxes body.
This trait can be placed anywhere on the body, but cannot replace a foxes cheek stud or ear studs.
Pearls are considered a gemstone and may be placed either whole or cut. gem framing of any metallic finishes is allowed (similar to rings or pendants).
Gemstones need to be cut like one would find in a jewelers shop, raw gemstones are best with Very Rare growth (gems/crystals)
Sizing and or amount of this trait are within reason, and alone cannot appear as to mimic another trait, or your design may be rejected.
- Why is this trait uncommon?
- This trait was established at the start of the species existence, and thusly will not be changing rarity
- This trait was established at the start of the species existence, and thusly will not be changing rarity
This trait is combinable with other traits, such as:
- Any form of body traits available to the species so long as the mixture is not looking like its bypass mimicing another trait.
- Any form of tail trait available to the species except for H missing tail
This trait CANNOT:
- Be mistaken by another trait by myo staffing
- be placed on a foxes eyes or teeth
- be used on U corrupted wisps
- closely mimic the R claws trait.
Examples of some combinations can be seen below:
If you have any questions or concerns about this trait or possible combinations, please contact Darci or Benaberrry for further help!

Drool + Slime (Rare)
This trait allows a scarfox to have drool and or slime like fluids coming off their person across their body in varying amounts. This trait is for topical application, and cannot be coming from the inside of a fox, even with H holes and tears. This trait can however be coming from the mouth of a fox (along the teeth/lip line), or its eyes.
This trait can be used to make markings appear as if leaking/color bleeding off the character, or used to make galaxy patterns appear as if coming from the scarfox's body.
This trait can be any color, however if this trait is used innapropriately, it will result in your design being rejected and asked to be edited to redo the concern at hand.
why is this trait rare? this trait was established at the start of the species existence, and thusly will not be changing rarity
This trait is combinable with other traits, such as:
- H multiple eyes
- R glowing markings
- R ear extensions- to have something dripping off long drooping extensions that may come off the bottom of a foxes ear
- VR functional item- can give a dripping glue effect like this fox , and other dripping appliation ideas like leaking oils, toxic sludge, etc
- R runes and wisps- can give a cursed rune like effect
- most other tail traits available to the species! if you're unsure if your combination wouldnt work, please contact a myo moderator on site or in our discord qna!
This trait CANNOT:
- be mistaken for another trait by myo staffing
- mimic the subtype elemental cloak (water)
- be white or any form of off white due to nsfw concerns
If you have any questions or concerns about this trait or possible combinations, please contact Darci or Benaberrry for further help!

Scales (Rare)
This trait allows any part of a foxes body to gain the growth of any scale type! Scale types include snake, fish, dragon, and similar. The amount of scales and distribution of the scales is up to the artist, but must be visible in some form of way on the masterlist artwork for ease of recognition for myo staffing. sizing of the scales is up to the member, so long as its within reason. there are no color restrictions to this trait, and scales may retain a sheen to them!
This trait makes a great combo with VR animalia for those looking to create a dragon like fox, as it goes well with belly keeled scales (example: Scarfox-1053 )
Some foxes have more artistic liberty like scales, such as Scarfox-1846 where its defined on the waist and torso as diamond shaped scales, but blends with the pattern on the body
why is this trait rare? this trait was established at the start of the species existence, and thusly will not be changing rarity
This trait is combinable with other traits, such as:
- VR animalia- to create more fish like foxes, mermaid foxes, or dragon like foxes!
- VR mystical tail- same reason above!
- VR functional item- could utilize the scales shapes in combo with this trait to create a glittering like effect of holographic vibes!
- other traits available to the species! if you're unsure if your combination wouldnt work, please contact a myo moderator on site or in our discord qna!
This trait CANNOT:
- be so undefined that a staff member cannot tell if scales are on the design in the first place for your masterlist entry (makes it easier on them!)
- be mistaken for another trait by myo staffing
If you have any questions or concerns about this trait or possible combinations, please contact Darci or Benaberrry for further help!
This information may be updated in the future to better explain and structure this information for the benefit of the staffing and community.
Scars + Stitches (Uncommon)
This trait takes a scarfoxes arms and applies scars and or stitches. stitches can be made of thread, rope, near anything synthetic. Scars can vary in appearance, from scars that can leave a divet in the fabric, seal back up and leave raised areas, leave discolored areas of the foxes fabric as long as its defined, or stretch marks around areas where large amounts of excess mist may have stored up! (the example image uses stretch marks on the fingertips). This trait can also be used for an embroidery effect to your foxes body
why is this trait uncommon? this trait was established at the start of the species existence, and thusly will not be changing rarity
This trait is combinable with other traits, such as:
- H holes and tears to have the stitching drape across tattered areas in an attempt to hold it all together!
- VR poncho to make a patch work blanket type of poncho!
- VR animalia to make your fox a living patchwork of different animals!
- VR transparent fabric so all stitching can be seen from every angle of the body part chosen! could work well as a patch job look to a transparent fabric arm filled with liquid?
- C ruffles to give an embroidered edge to accenting frills, or C clouds and puffs for a soft aesthetic feeling with colorful stitches! Stitches could be applied to the clouds themselves as well.
- R eyes on arms/ R ear eyes/ H eye clusters to stitch the eyes closed! could be used on top of the eyes pupil and or iris to stitch it back together?
- UC spikes to make it appear like they've punched out and through the skin without any actual holes, but instead with frayed and messy stitching, an aesthetic take!
- other traits available to the species! if you're unsure if your combination wouldnt work, please contact a myo moderator on site or in our discord qna!
This trait CANNOT:
- create holes and tears without H holes and tears
- pierce through both sides of the fabric to seal off areas without the fox being of hollow or unstable typing
- be mistaken for another trait by myo staffing
If you have any questions or concerns about this trait or possible combinations, please contact Darci or Benaberrry for further help!
